Bella: Hi, Mom, where are you going? I'm going, right? Right?
Me: Bella, sweetie, I'm going into the bedroom to unpack my suitcase
Bella: Ok, I'm right here with you, I'll help. Just one quick pat and I'll come with you.
And proceeds to stand in front of me blocking my way until I give her lots of scratches and pats. Every time I move from one room to another (and remember, we're in a 600-square foot apartment, so there are only two main rooms!) she's right there with me.
It really is sweet.
Bella's also gotten more advanced in using her paws to indicate that she'd like attention. If she is on our bed or on the sofa and she doesn't feel she's getting adequate attention, she'll lift a paw. It's the "pat me now" paw, lifing just enough so that you can rub her chest and belly. You don't even need to be that close by, but when she's in the mood and sees one of her people moving around, The Paw extends to summon you.
Smart girl, because we think it's so cute that we always respond. Yes, she has us trained!
I'm ready for my pats now, please

Haha, I love that she has you trained to obey The Paw. What a sweetheart.
No one can resist The Paw! No one!
Hi Y'all,
The paw is preferable to barking like I do...that is according to my Human not me.
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
